I'm Back Baby....

Blue handlebar tape... FANCY!

It was a no brainer... the decision was made the moment one meeting ended early and the other was moved due to a person being busy.  A void in my day parted like the red sea and I was out of my chair lickety-split.  However, my Tuna with cheese was being delivered?  Oh fuck the Tuna with cheese there would be other sandwiches, uh plus you could put it in the fridge.  Yes, that is just what I would do.

I practically raced down the hallway pulling my gym cloths off as I went.  I was in the cabinet grabbing my bike shorts and slipping into them, and a game of twenty horses decided on which jersey I would ride with today.  I was thinking about going trash pandas on the socks when the jersey came out white, but optioned for the kokopelli's instead.  I like that little dude.  Like him better when he is on a bike.  It didn't matter to me that I already had a workout scheduled with Clayton.  I had rested yesterday.  I was jonesing badly for a ride.  I needed one.  It had been to long.  The bike had been back in the house since last Friday and while I sweet talked it a few times in passing I hadn't been on it.  Plus, I need to get out and show off the new Colt Blue handle bar tape.

I knew I wasn't going far today, so I left the camelbak at home and just filled my bottles on the way out the door.  I didn't know exactly where I was going but I had a vague idea. It was going to be a nice flat ride.

I was out the door in a flash and on my way.  It felt amazing.  It was so good to be back outside wind in my face riding my bike.  Oh, it was so fantastic.  My legs felt fantastic.  I was a little worried about a few cricks and creaks I heard my bike making, but over all, it was just a fanatic experience.  I was out for about an hour, and did about 10 miles.  Nothing major, nothing hard, just a man on his bike doing what he loves and it was super awesome.  So happy to say "I'm Back Baby!"
