Off Schedule - New Goal 30,600

BEACHED!!!

Ok, I was going to add a picture of a beached Orca to this post to represent me being beached at the end of last week thank to my malfunctioning head phones and my trip to the UC, but when I looked at them I got sad.  Poor black fish getting stuck on land.  That, just isn't right.  A Santa standing on the beach it much better and put a little bit of a smile back onto my face.

Well, I was beached at the end of last week and it cost me my swim goal for the month.  Ok, well and the holiday schedule around the gym and my land workouts.  I have to trade two swims for land locked work outs on Christmas and New Year's Eve.  Such is life.  Plus, I can't think of a better thing to start off Christmas than a nice long walk with the Girl.  I know she will like it, and I will enjoy it as well.  Then again if it rains, ah shit, well we will cross the bridge when we come to it.  Who knows maybe I get a couple of extra rest days.

So the nurse who worked on getting the ear plug out of my ear told me I couldn't swim for two days, and therefore I got beached.  So, I am only going to get in another 8,200 yards to close out 2021.  Shit, I am alright with that.  A year ago, I could barely walk down to the end of my drive-way and back.  The world has changed and we have to adapt with it.  So, stupid me get head phones stuck in my ear, and end up in Urgent Care, now I have to change my goal.  Ehh... fine.  B/c I am better than I was a year ago.  I am better than I was 6 months ago, and I am better than I was a week ago.  Each day we get just a little bit better.

30,600 yards is a lot.  28,000 more than I swam last December.

I am tired.  I have been sleeping like shit lately, have to get the rectified.  Everything starts with a good nights sleep.  That is the number one thing I want to work on the rest of this year.  Rest, sleep good, feel gooder.

I am shooting for 40,000 yards in January in the pool.

wow, I guess I really have nothing else to say, or anything interesting to say now.  hmmm.  Happy Christmas!
